Dr Geoff Main FHEA FRGS

 

I’m currently a Senior Lecturer (Education & Scholarship) specialising in Hazard and Disaster Geographies at the University of Exeter (Cornwall).

 

I specialise in the multiple and complex ways natural hazards interact with human society across spatial and temporal scales, exploring questions of risk, vulnerability, disaster management, and disaster risk reduction.

 

I’m an excellent educator, passionate about the student voice and community and I have a drive for widening participation in Higher Education.

 

I’m a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).​
